To make a long story short, the bit of code that made my book reviews magically appear in your inboxes broke some time ago, and I only just recently (a) figured that out and even more recently (b) figured out how to fix it. I think. I hope. Well, this is where we find out. If this message works, I will continue onward with the backlog of reviews, because there were some really fantastic books in there and frankly I’d be a little sad if I never got a chance to talk to you guys about them.… >> Read more
I do not make a claim of being a particularly good artist. But I was at a kaffeeklatsch at Worldcon (report to follow) with Heather Rose Jones, author of the fabulous Daughter of Mystery and The Mystic Marriage (reviews to follow – I’m behind, okay?) and she mentioned she had never had any fan art. I’m mystified as to what’s causing the glitch, and tech support for MailChimp is reduced over Easter weekend so I don’t expect to hear back from them right away. Please bear with me while I investigate.… >> Read more
One of my best friends, whom I’ve known since childhood, is currently living in the same apartment as her abusive husband. She wants a divorce but doesn’t have the money to get out. You can read her story here. Please donate if you can – $5, $50 or $500, anything will help.
Even if you can’t donate, you can help by re-sharing this post on Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Tumblr, or your blog.… >> Read more
