Thumbs up for How Would You Survive as an Aztec? by David Salariya. Children’s.
Don’t laugh, but this is one of the best nonfiction books I’ve ever read. It packs a lot of surprisingly in-depth information – and a lot of informative pictures – into its slim spine. After reading it, I feel like I do have a firm grounding on what it was like to survive (or not) as an Aztec. And it’s really quite rare to be able put aside a book and say: I feel like I have a basic grasp of this subject now. I very much hope to run across the other books in this series at some point.
